Yogapoint designed by KLAR is a truly elegant solution to a very real problem: people don’t always know how to connect with nature. What may look like a simple platform is, in reality, a communal space for meditation, relaxation, yoga and quiet reflection. It’s a way to connect with the natural world and with the inner world of oneself.

Yogapoint is an elegant and perfect way for people to connect with the world around them. It’s also practical and fully operational in all environments. The beauty of a Yogapoint is that it can be put anywhere — from the deepest wilderness to an urban environment — to create a quiet, relaxing space.

The floor itself is an exercise mat. The columns provide stability and structure for the roof, which can be opaque or transparent to let the sunshine in. In the larger design, the space is big enough to hold six people. While in the smaller design, two people fit comfortably.

Yogapoints are made with a roof that has a wooden grid and shading slats. The slats are inserted into a steel grid that has square, hollow sections that add stability to the overall design. The columns are anchored to reinforced concrete. The overall design is able to withstand years of weather. After all, nature can be both beautiful and harsh. Yogapoints are designed to celebrate nature and still stand up to it.

KLAR was asked to create this solution. So far, Yogapoints are scheduled to be built in five different locations in the Czech Republic. Yogapoints are easy to build, beautiful and they solve a problem. This is an easy way for anyone to connect with nature and with themselves at any time.
